CETel GmbH acquires ‘Managed Services’ Activities of ND SatCom
CETel GmbH, the German Teleport & Satellite Service Provider, acquired the Managed Services Division of ND SatCom on April 1st 2009. Furthermore, close cooperation with regard to ND SatCom product utilisation and operation was agreed.
This acquisition allows both companies to concentrate on their core competencies to provide customers with a best-in-class end-to-end solution. ND SatCom offers strong system integration capabilities based on its core technologies and products, while CETel extends the offering with service elements of a network operator and service provider. In particular, CETel will now operate additional SkyWAN and SkyARCS networks. The migration of all involved services and personnel will be finished by end of May 2009.

At the same time, we are extending our core business with additional important services and state-of-the-art technologies“, states Martin Terlunen, Managing Director of CETel GmbH.
For future projects, both companies will continue to cooperate intensively to serve their customers with turnkey, end-to-end communication network solutions. CETel and
ND SatCom have been working together on several projects since CETel’s foundation in 2004, mostly in the Middle East and Africa.

ND SatCom, an SES ASTRA company, will in the future cooperates with CETel GmbH for the provision of ‘Managed Services’. Both

Arabsat BADR-6 launch event
in
Paris, 06. - 08. July 2008.

Together with the CEOs and Management staffs of EADS Astrium, Alcatel,
Arianespace and Arabsat, CETel Management has participated at the life event of
the successful Arabsat BADR 6 satellite launch from Europe's Spaceport,
Kourou, French

New Teleport Service via
9,3m antenna on its BADR-6 capacities
To serve the growing demand in the Middle East and African market CETel has
formally contracted with Arabsat to provide services on the upcoming Arabsat
BADR-6 satellite. As one of the first communications provider CETel will be able
to offer their Teleport & Satellite services via their new 9,3m antenna from
Vertex pointing on the BADR-6 satellite from August 2008 onwards. Furthermore
CETel committed to one full transponder and can provide the corresponding
satellite capacity.

Commitment of one full
transponder on Arabsats BADR-6
To serve the growing demand in the Middle East and African market CETel has
formally contracted with Arabsat to provide services on the upcoming Arabsat
BADR-6 satellite. The satellite has a perfect coverage over Africa and will go
in operation in summer 2008. CETel committed to one full transponder with the
opportunity to enlarge our capacity.
Arabsat and CETel built up a strong and reliable partnership. The joint
solutions comprise 1- and 2-way broadband Internet services for the Middle East
and African market and a world-leading offer for dedicated connections for major
communication carriers between the Middle East and Africa into the European
fibre network. From their Teleport facilities in Germany CETel is able to
provide satellite based communication services on Arabsat BADR-4 (Ku-Band),
Arabsat 2B and Arabsat BADR-C (both C-band). In the near future CETel will offer
services on the advanced Arabsat BADR-6, covering the entire African continent. Combining CETel’s knowledge with Arabsat’s expertise and excellent satellite
fleet encourages both sides for a joint service and meets the growing demands of
the Middle East and African market.

CETel will provide iDirect services on NSS-703
CETel increases its iDirect services and is to start on SES Newskies NSS 703
satellite. Thereby CETel together with their partner
company Talia is now able to serve iDirect services on a second
satellite besides Arabsat BADR-4. This development meets the constantly growing
customer demand in the Middle East and North African region. The service will be
operated via a 6.1m antenna at the German CETel Teleport.

CETel launches DVB-S2
service
Together with our strategic partner Arabsat, CETel now offers efficient DVB-S2
services on Arabsat 2B (C-Band). Due to the perfect Arabsat 2B satellite
coverage this new service is designed to specifically serve CETel’s growing
customers demand focused on the Gulf Region, the Middle East and African
markets. DVB-S2 is the most advanced satellite transmission technique from DVB.
It is a cost-effective solution for the customer with 30% greater efficiency.
Guido Neumann, Managing Director of CETel, said “We are
happy to provide the new DVB-S2 service to our customers. It will enhance their
process and their value proposition. Together with the leading hardware
providers, the DVB-S2 service will enable us to extend our product portfolio for
